The Barlow & The Matt Skinner Band
ONE NIGHT OF COUNTRY MUSIC
The Barlow are; 4-guys, from as unlikely a place as any, to lay down the Country-Rock anthems you’d expect to hear in Austin or Stillwater; Savannah, Raleigh or Mobile. Whatever you do, just don’t call it Nashville! This is Colorado Country! Driven right out of Denver and the rugged Rockies. And that’s significant! It’s heartfelt and relatable.
The Matt Skinner Band formed in the winter of 2012 and released Native Stranger (2013) shortly thereafter which was recorded at the highly acclaimed Stout Studio in Fort Collins, CO. The band consists of Matt Skinner on lead vocals and guitars, Darren Radach on drums and mandolin, Ben O’Connor on electric and upright bass, all rounded out by Ansel Foxley on electric and acoustic dobro. Notable sometime-band members include Joe Lessard on fiddle, Michael O’Connor on lead guitar, and Amanda Hofer on backup and lead vocals.

Big Richard with 10 Cent Stranger
Big Richard: Since exploding onto the Colorado scene in 2021, the four women of the supergroup Big Richard have been on a wild ride. Although they showed up to their first gig armed with homemade puff paint t-shirts, a load of crass jokes, and all dressed intentionally like Stevie Nicks, from the first few notes of their tight vocal harmonies, dazzling string virtuosity, and clever arrangements, no one had any choice but to take them seriously.
10 Cent Stranger: A band by summer, talented social club in the winter - draws inspiration from the sounds and stories of their windswept, high-plains home in Laramie, Wyoming. The storytelling foundation of each song is adorned with powerful harmonies, expressive musicianship, and creative arrangements. This band brings a contagious joy to each performance, and their melodies will stay with you long after the show is over. Since their first shows in early 2016, Ten Cent Stranger has shared the stage with artists such as Joan Osborne, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Asleep at the Wheel. The musicians of Ten Cent are veterans of stagecraft, collectively performing in more than fifteen different projects before joining forces to bring their unique brand of Americana to venues and festivals around the mountain west.

Bandwagon Presents: Willi Carlisle
7:00 Doors | 8:00 Showtime | Ages 18+ Permitted
------
Folksinger Willi Carlisle holds tight the conviction that love is bigger than hate, and no-one is expendable. Carlisle’s music has always been a dance between absurdity, spectacle, and philosophy. On his fourth studio album, Winged Victory, Carlisle returns with his signature blend of traditionally-rooted folk music and kaleidoscope of oddball characters to confer with his core tenets in more overt and provocative ways.
Carlisle delivers Victory as the next chapter in his long-running direct address to the hope that by understanding our collective suffering we might be free of it. He’s intent on creating art and a well-rounded life in a broken world. The idea began with 2022’s Peculiar, Missouri when Carlisle proclaimed “your heart’s a big tent, everybody gets in.” After gathering together all the world’s weirdos and misfits under the big tent, with 2024’s Critterland, Carlisle let them loose into the world. Now, on Winged Victory, they speak for themselves, unencumbered by social expectations.
Victory, Carlisle’s first self-produced album, will be released June 27 via Signature Sounds. It both indulges a few of his wildest dreams (including a version of Richard Thompson’s “Beeswing,” among several traditional folk song covers), and feels like the inevitable sequel to Critterland’s charismatic menagerie of chaos. Though occasionally raunchy, and routinely provocative, Victory is not afraid to make a spectacle for the sake of a point. Victory should be understood as a reflection. It revels in the beauty of tiny, monetarily-worthless moments and things, offering with them a consideration of our innate humanity.
